Recently Meet.Me was sold for a world record price of $450,000 by the MostWantedDomains.com Brokers. This has raised the bar for the other .ME domain names especially the domains with verbs, call to action type of domains as well as other bang on domains, in other words; .ME is competing with the supremacy of the .COM.
.IN crosses the 1 million registration mark!
.IN surpassed the 1 million registration mark in October 2011. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) published the statistics, stating that the 1 million registrations included the second level domains, org.in, ac.in and co.in, as well as the .in domain type.
CoCCA Announces new Registration Policy

Biggest Quarterly Registration Increase For .IE ... Ever!
Ireland’s ccTLD .IE had its largest quarterly increase in domain name registrations ever for the quarter ending September when there were 10,029 registrations, a 12.7 per cent increase on the same period in 2010. Additionally registrations for each month in the quarter were the highest on record for each month. The renewal rate increased to 87 per cent and consequently the net increase in the database was 5,059 for quarter three, a 32 per cent increase on the same period in 2010 (3,842 domains).

ICANN : Board Technical Relations Working Group (BTRWG) – Final Report for Public Comment
In line with the Board resolution 2011 adopted in Dakar, the Final Report delivered by the Board Technical Relations Working Group is now open for public comment. The public comment period will close on 30 December 2011. ICANN appointed JAS Communications in August 2010 to carry out an external and independent review of the Technical Liaison Group.
